Start by raising the problem with the roofer in writing and keep copies of your contract, receipts and photos. Please also tell us at (770) 555-0186, since we may stop referring homeowners to a roofer after complaints.

Taking it further. If a dispute with a roofer isn't resolved, you can contact the Georgia Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division at 404-651-8600 or 1-800-869-1123 (toll-free in Georgia). The division is a state office; it has no connection to this site and doesn't recommend us or any roofer.

Know your rights. If an insurance-paid roofing contract is involved and your insurer denies all or part of the claim in writing, Georgia law lets you cancel until midnight of the fifth business day after you receive that notice. Our Georgia roofing rules page sums up the details.
